Abstract

Adolescence is a period of crisis with various physical and psychological problems, one of which is gender identity deviation. The development of gender role identity in this case is a process in obtaining gender role identity both consciously and unconsciously to behave, behave and characterize character and personality like someone who becomes a role model or idol and can be said to have closeness. A clear gender identity will make it easier to meet the needs of adolescents both physically and psychologically. For this reason, external roles are needed, both families, schools, communities, including midwifery education institutions. The purpose of this coaching activity is to provide education to young women about gender identity in reproductive health. This coaching activity was carried out on 40 students who were members of the generation planning group at school. The coaching begins with the provision of education about the importance of gender in reproductive health for the lives of adolescents, especially young women and continues with outreach activities using the brainstorming method, question and answer lectures and the formation of a WhatsApp group for giving forums. The results of the activity showed that before the counseling was given, 62.5% of the participants had less knowledge and after the counseling the knowledge of the participants became 87.5% good. Coaching for students through limited face-to-face counseling activities while still paying attention to health protocols with brainstorming and question-and-answer lectures can increase students' knowledge and understanding in order to optimize the quality of reproductive health through their gender roles.
