Perbedaan Tingkat Pengetahuan Gizi Seimbang dan Status Gizi Antara Siswa SMP dengan MTs di Kecamatan Pare Kabupaten Kediri

Abstract


The results of Riskesdas 2018 show that currently there is a Triple Burden of Malnutrition in Indonesia. The Triple Burden of Malnutrition (TBM) is a nutritional problem that includes undernutrition (stunting and wasting), obesity, and micronutrient deficiencies (WHO, 2016). The purpose of this research is to analyze the difference of the level of knowledge on balanced nutrition and nutritional status between the students of junior high school and islamic junior high school in Pare District Regency of Kediri. This research is a descriptive analytic study using a cross sectional study. Sampling using simple random sampling method with a measuring instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using the Mann-Whitney test. The results of the analysis showed that there was no significant difference in the level of knowledge on balanced nutrition between the students of class VIII in SMPN 1 Pare and MTsN 1 Kediri (p = 0.142 > 0.05), while for nutritional status also there was no significant difference between the students of class VIII in SMPN 1 Pare and MTsN 1 Kediri (p = 0.214 > 0.05). The results of the analysis of the level of knowledge on balanced nutrition in SMPN 1 Pare and MTsN 1 Kediri showed that most of the respondents, namely 37.8% and 51.1%, respectively, had a level of knowledge on balanced nutrition in the good category, while the results of the analysis of nutritional status in SMPN 1 Pare and MTsN 1 Kediri showed that most of the respondents, namely 80.0% and 82.2%, respectively, had a nutritional status in the good category.
