PERAN ORANG TUA MENGENALKAN PENULARAN COVID-19 PADA ANAK USIA PRA SEKOLAH DI DUSUN KANDANGAN DESA SUGIHWARAS KECAMATAN PRAMBON KABUPATEN NGANJUK

Abstract

The role is a series of tasks to be carried out by someone based position in society (nurhayati et al., 2020) . The roles that can be played in introducing Covid-19 transmission by parents during the current pandemic are: providing education, being a role model for children, caring for children to implement prevention of Covid-19 transmission, and introducing Covid-19 transmission to children. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of parents in introducing Covid-19 transmission to pre-school age children in Kandangan village. 

The research design used descriptive, the study population was 105 respondents, the sample size was 21 respondents who had met the research criteria with the "purposive sampling" technique. This research was conducted on 14-30 December 2020 using a single variable, namely the Role of Parents in Introducing Covid-19 to Pre-School Children (3-5 years) in Kandangan Hamlet, Sugihwaras Village. The research instrument in the form of a questionnaire, data analysis using a percentage formula and interpreted quantitative.  

The results showed that of the 21 respondents, most of the respondents had a sufficient role, namely 11 respondents (52%), almost half of the respondents had a good role, namely 9 respondents (43%), and a small proportion of respondents had a less than 1 respondent (5%). 

This is likely influenced by several factors, namely age, latest education, sources of information obtained, the number of children and who is the most dominant role in introducing Covid-19 transmission.  

It is hoped that respondents will continue to learn, apply and apply Covid-19 prevention to their children, and better understand the role that must be done to avoid the Covid-19 disease, and gain insight in the process of introducing Covid-19 transmission to children.
