Abstract
The common cold is an infection that is often experienced by infants and toddlers. There is no medicine that can cure the common cold. Acupressure is a safe alternative and has proven to be effective in overcoming the common cold, especially in the pandemic era where visiting hospitals to seek treatment has a risk of exposure to COVID-19. This community service activity is in the form of giving acupressure measures to 31 infants aged 6 to 12 months, which are carried out by lecturers and students of the STIKES Midwifery Masters Program, Karya Husada Kediri. Acupressure action is carried out 1 time for 20 minutes every day for babies who have a common cold in Sambong Village, Dukuh Jombang from 3 July to 6 September 2021. Evaluation is carried out after each acupressure action to find out how long it takes to recover from the common cold. Akuresuure is proven to be able to overcome the common cold with 93.5% recovering in the fast category. Acupressure stimulates Endocrine hormone products (pain relievers) so that it causes a sense of comfort in children, and physical aspects, namely improving breathing such as reducing mucus, overcoming coughs, flu, ear infections and nasal disorders.
