Abstract

The success of a nation in the future will be determined by the quality of today's youth. The quality of adolescents can be prepared in a planned manner, considering that adolescents are a group of young people who are at risk, which are related to reproductive health issues, including unwanted pregnancies and abortions. The purpose of this community service is to provide additional knowledge through Health Education about unwanted pregnancies and abortions in adolescents. This Health Education target is aimed at teenagers at SMA Negeri 1 Pare Kediri. Method of community service with Health Education. The media used are laptop, LCD, and Leaflet. Implementation time in October–November 2021. The results of the evaluation of Health Education activities regarding unwanted pregnancy and abortion in adolescents, through pre-test and post-test, it was found that there was an increase in participants' knowledge in post-Health Education (out of a total of 39 participants, the pre-test results were 12 people (31%) have sufficient knowledge and 27 people (69%) have less knowledge and post test results increase to 34 people (87%) have good knowledge and 5 people (13%) have knowledge in the category enough). Health Education activities about unwanted pregnancies and abortions in adolescents have a positive impact and increase knowledge and help Health Education participants understand. Health Education participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the counseling activities, as evidenced by the many incoming questions.Keywords: Health Education, Unwanted Pregnancy, Abortion, Teenager
