HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN GIZI TENTANG ANEMIA DENGAN TINGKAT ASUPAN GIZI (PROTEIN DAN ZAT BESI) REMAJA PUTRI DI MTsN 1 KABUPATEN KEDIRI

Abstract


      Anemia is a major nutritional problem in Indonesia, especially iron-deficiency anemia, which is quite prominent among school children, especially teenagers. A common factor that can cause anemia in adolescents has unhealthy eating habits. Based on Riskesdas 2018 data, the prevalence of anemia aged 5-14 was 26.4%, while anemia patients aged 15-24 years was 18.4%. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between knowledge of anemia nutrition and the level of nutritional intake (protein and iron). The 32 students at MTsN 1 Kabupaten Kediri, Data on intake levels were obtained from interviews with the help of the Food Record form, and nutrition knowledge data then analysis using the Spearman Rank test. The results of the relationship between knowledge and protein intake showed a p-value = 0.553. Moreover, the results of the relationship between knowledge and iron intake showed a p-value = 0.033. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge of anemia nutrition and the level of nutritional intake (protein and iron) in adolescent girls at MTsN 1 Kediri Regency. The conclusion suggest adolescent girls to improve their nytrition by consume more iron and protein. Also by consuming more green vegetables and fruit thatrich in iron. For addition, it’s important to raise the awareness about anemia prevention by educate the students about nutrition during school learning process by UKS leader.
