Abstract

The government has made various efforts to prevent COVID-19, but the spread rate is still high due to a lack of public compliance. Increased compliance can be influenced by age, knowledge and education. Efforts to increase compliance are by providing education about PHBS and ProKes to the community, especially in household arrangements. The purpose of the study was to determine whether there was an effect of implementing PHBS (Clean and Healthy Living Behavior) and ProKes (Health Protocol) education on Public Compliance with Health Protocols in the New Normal Era of COVID-19 in Nakeran Hamlet, Pakisrejo Village, Rejotangan District, Tulungagung Regency. This study uses a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test-post-test approach. The sample was selected by purposive sampling with 48 respondents. The educational intervention for implementing PHBS and ProKes was carried out 3 time with 2 indicators every 2 days a week. The results of the Wilcoxon signed ranks test obtained p-value = 0.000 < α = 0.05, indicating that there is an effect of education on the implementation of PHBS and ProKes on increasing compliance in Nakeran Hamlet, Pakisrejo Village, Rejotangan District, Tulungagung Regency. These interventions can increase knowledge and information related to COVID-19, thereby changing awareness to implement PHBS and ProKes in daily life, so that compliance will increase. For this reason, it is expected that health workers will add information about COVID-

19 in the community by conducting socialization related to COVID-19 prevention, because compliance can affect a person's behavior.
