Karakteristik Ibu Hamil Dengan Anemia di Puskesmas Kalidawir Kabupaten Tulungagung

Abstract


Anemia is a symptom of a decrease in hemoglobin (Hb) levels in the blood to below the normal range. Anemia in pregnant women is one of the factors that are indicators of measuring the success of a nation's health development. Several factors that influence the incidence of anemia in pregnant women include age, parity, pregnancy distance, economic level, education, place of residence, social environment, and culture. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of pregnant women with anemia at the Kalidawir Health Center, Tulungagung Regency.

The research design used was a descriptive approach. The single variable is the characteristics of pregnant women with anemia. The sample used was 20 respondents. Sampling using total sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire and observation. Data were analyzed and distributed based on the characteristics of the respondents. Data processing uses editing, coding, scoring and tabulating.

The results showed that the characteristics of pregnant women with anemia were mostly 16 respondents (80%) knowledgeable enough, most had parity > 3, namely 16 respondents (80%), normal LILA size was 16 respondents (80%), abnormal BMI was as many as 16 respondents (80%), and regular consumption of Fe as many as 16 respondents (80%).

This characteristic of pregnant women with anemia describes a condition found in anemic pregnant women. So it is hoped that health workers can carry out initial screening as an effort to prevent anemia in pregnant women. Giving IEC beforehand about anemia and preconception care including nutritional needs for pregnant women is important so that pregnancy can run smoothly without complications.
