GAMBARAN PERBEDAAN STATUS GIZI BAYI USIA 6-12 BULAN YANG DIBERI ASI EKSKLUSIF DAN TIDAK EKSKLUSIF

Abstract


Background: The process of growth and development of infants is influenced by the food given to children. Optimal growth can be seen from the increase in weight, height and head circumference, while optimal development can be seen from the increase in motor, psychomotor and language abilities. The age of 0–24 months is a period of rapid growth and development, so it is often termed the “golden period” as well as the “critical period”. The purpose of this study was to describe the differences in nutritional status of infants aged 6-12 months who were given exclusive and non-exclusive breastfeeding at the Posyandu, Gadung Village, Gresik Regency. The research was carried out on September 17-September 26, 2021. The research design was descriptive. The variable used in this study was a single variable, namely the nutritional status of infants aged 6-12 months who were given exclusive and non-exclusive breastfeeding at the posyandu, Gadung Village, Gresik Regency. The study population was mothers who were aged 6-12 months with a total of 30 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire. The results of the study with a description of the difference in nutritional status of infants aged 6-12 months who were given exclusive and non-exclusive breastfeeding at the Posyandu Gadung Village, Gresik Regency, showed that most of the respondents had good nutritional status with a total of 23 respondents (76.7%) and a small proportion experienced nutritional status. less than 7 respondents (23.3%). Prevention of nutritional status in infants is to improve services and promote more optimal health and provide food intake to infants, increase the gentasibu program, increase breastfeeding support groups (KP-ASI), posyandu cadres and provide counseling at the posyandu so that it can reduce poor nutritional status and reduce infant mortality.
