GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN IBU TENTANG PERAWATAN LUKA PERINEUM PASCA BERSALIN DI DESA PARITI DAN KELURAHAN SULAMU KUPANG NTT
Abstract
Perineal rupture is a perineal tear during delivery. Postpartum woman in general, do not understand how to treat perineal wounds, woman think it՛s normal and can heal itself about 90% of woman experience trauma during
the delivery process, even the risk of perineal infection can reach more than 20%. While in Indonesia, perineal injuries are experienced by 75% of woman give birth vaginally. Inappropriate perineal wound care will affect the length of the wound healing process, it will cause infection and abscesses in perineal wounds can even lead to this study aims to determine the description of maternal knowledge about post partum perineal wound care in Pariti
Village and Sulamu Village, in year 2021. This research is descriptive using independent variables with the population is 38 woman and the sample is 35 woman. This research was carried out on 30 August to 11 September
2021 in Pariti Village and Sulamu Village, using primary data with accidental sampling technique. The instrument in this study us a questionnaire. The results of this study are as follows: from 35 woman who good knowledge 8 woman (22.9%), 18 woman with sufficient knowledge (51.4%), and 9 woman with less knowledge (25.7%). From
the results of the study above, it shows that most of the respondents have sufficient and less knowledge, while a small proportion of respondents well knowledgeable. This is caused by factors of education, occupation, age, parity,
and the lack of health education from local health workers.
