HOME LEARNING KELAS IBU BALITA UNTUK MENCEGAH STUNTING DAN PEMANTAUAN TUMBUH KEMBANG BALITA DI DESA WANDANPURO, BULULAWANG
Abstract
Stunting is a growth disorder in infants and toddlers which is characterized by short stature. Indonesia ranks third in Southeast Asia in the prevalence of stunting. East Java Province recorded the number of children under five who are stunting is 36.81%. Stunting needs to be handled by various parties including the family, which is the first and foremost environment contact with children. The purpose of this activity is to increase family knowledge, especially parents, about preventing stunting and monitoring the development of toddlers through mother-to-child classes. In accordance with government policy regarding the application of physical distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic, this activity was carried out online using the WhatsApp media. Participants were 30 people who have babies and toddlers aged 29 days to 60 months. The pretest results found that 43% of participants had less knowledge about stunting and growth development. Meanwhile, the posttest results showed an increase in knowledge, where only 17% of participants had less knowledge. It is hoped that this activity can be carried out continuously with different topics.
