HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN IBU TENTANG GIZI DENGANSTATUS GIZI BALITA USIA 3-5 TAHUN (STUDY CROSS-SECTIONAL DI DUSUN MANGUNREJO DESA PRANGGANG KECAMATAN PLOSOKLATEN KABUPATEN KEDIRI)

Abstract


Toddlers were an age group that was vulnerable to nutrition. Mother's knowledge about nutrition, especially in choosing and providing food, was one aspect that could affect the nutritional status of children under five. The purpose of this studied was to analyze the relationship between the leveled of mother's knowledge about nutrition with the nutritional status of children aged 3-5 years in mangunrejo hamlet, pranggang village, plosoklaten district, kediri regency. This researched method uses analytic surveyed method with cross-sectional approached.  Number of samples 49 were taken by simple random sampling technique. Data was collected in december 2019. The researched instrumentation used the BB/U anthropometric index and questionnaire sheets. Data analysis using non parametric spearman’s rho correlation test. The analysis of this studied showed that there was no correlation between mother’s knowledge about nutrition and the nustritional status of toddlers (p> α, ie 0,071 > 0,05). The conclusion of this studied was that the knowledge of mothers about nutrition has not always affect the nutritional status of children under five because there were many aspects that could affect the nutritional status of children under five.  Therefore it was suggested that mothers under five could improved their knowledge about nutrition or understand other aspects that could affect the nutritional status of children under five.
