PENGETAHUAN REMAJA PUTRI TENTANG KONSUMSI TABLET TAMBAH DARAH SAAT MENSTRUASI DENGAN KEJADIAN ANEMIA
Abstract
Anemia is a public health problem around the world that most commonly occurs in adolescents. 80-90% occurs in developing countries, Based on the results of the 2013 Riskesdas, 37.1% of young women experienced an increase to 48.9% in 2018. Efforts to prevent anemia among adolescents are still low, so knowledge is needed about the importance of consuming Fe tablets in adolescents according to a circular from the government Number 88 of 2014, regarding the provision of Fe tablets to young women and women of childbearing age. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge of young women about the consumption of blood-supplemented tablets during menstruation with the incidence of anemia. This research is a correlational study with a cross sectional approach. Population of 123 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling of 54 people. The instruments used were questionnaires and observation sheets. The collected data were analyzed descriptively and statistical tests were carried out using the chi-square test. The results showed that most of the respondents, 64.8%, had insufficient knowledge about consuming supplemented blood tablets during menstruation and the majority of respondents 66.6% had anemia. The statistical test results obtained P-value (0.001 <0.05). It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the knowledge of young women about the consumption of blood-supplemented tablets during menstruation with anemia. Suggestion For the school, it is hoped that the role and function of the UKS will increase and make extension programs in collaboration with the local Puskesmas. Socializing and realizing the provision of blood booster tablets to adolescents during menstruation.
