PENGGUNAAN GADGET PADA JAM KERJA BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KINERJA PERAWAT DALAM PELAYANAN KEPERAWATAN DI INSTALASI RAWAT INAP R S. AMELIA PARE KEDIRI

Abstract

Nurse performance is the activity of nurses in implementing their responsibilities as the main duties of the profession and organizational units. The use of non-productive activities during nurse working hours is a maximum of 20% of the total working time. Gadget usage includes non-productive time usage. The use of gadgets is useful for communication between individuals and even within groups in health facilities, but excessive use can have the effect of consuming most of the work time and can reduce the quality of performance. The research objective is to analyze the relationship between the use of gadgets during working hours with the performance of nurses in nursing services in the Amelia Pare Hospital Kediri. This research design uses correlational. Respondents were 40 nurses in the Amelia Pare Hospital inpatient room according to the inclusion criteria, using a total sampling technique. Data collection used observation sheets and nurse assessment checklist sheets. The results show that most of the respondents who use gadgets during the working hours of nurses with normal time limits (52.5%), most of them with adequate performance (72.5%). Data were analyzed using the Spearman Correlation Test (α 0.05), obtained p = 0.000, meaning that the use of gadgets during working hours is related to the performance of nurses with the Correlation Coefficient (r) = -0.586, the higher the use of gadgets in working hours, the lower it will decrease. nurse performance. The use of long non-productive work hours but not accompanied by effective productivity and efficiency will result in a decrease in work productivity or nurse performance. Nurses need to limit the use of gadgets during working hours, and carry out the standard of professional nursing care in nursing services and hospitals need to provide advice and supervision in the use of time by nurses.
