PERAN IBU DALAM PENCEGAHAN CACING PADA ANAK BALITA
Abstract
Cacingan is an infectious disease caused by parasites that are still occurring in the community. The disease is at risk in infants and elementary school age children. Frequent symptoms are difficult to eat. Infection is transmitted soil, especially the type of worm Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH). The role that can be done in the prevention of Worms by the mother of one of them is: familiarize the child to always wash hands. The purpose of this research is to (Posyandu) village "K".
The design of this research uses descriptive, research population as much as 156 respondents, a large sample of 17 respondents who have fulfilled the criteria of research with the technique of "purposive sampling". This research was conducted on 06 June-20 July 2020 by using a single variable that is the role of mother in preventing the child's children in the (POSYANDU) in the village "K". In children aged 1-5 years in the village "K" with the instrument in the form of a questionnaire then the data is analyzed with a percentage and interpreted quantitatively.
The results of the study gained that from 17 respondents a small part of the respondent had a good role of 4 respondents (24%), most of the respondents had a sufficient role of 11 respondents (64%), and a small fraction of the respondents had a less than 2 respondents (12%).
It is influenced by several factors, such as age, occupation, last education, number of children, routine worm medication, routine or not to the integrated Service post (POSYANDU).
Hopefully the respondent will understand and better understand the role to be done in order to avoid the disease of worms, and add insight in the process of prevention of worms in children.
