HUBUNGAN ANTICIPATORY GUIDANCE IBU DENGAN KEJADIAN PICKY EATER PADA ANAK USIA 3-6 TAHUN

Abstract

Children on age 3-6 year often chose foods (picky eater) that they like necessarily healthy. This picky eater has something to do with anticipatory guidance that mothers apply to their children because it can affect the child's diet. This case was related with anticipatory guide which was applied by mother to her child, so it could make refusing behavior of new food, feeling satisfied quickly, being fussy on eating, and being lack of responsive  on food. This research purposed to understand the connection between mother's anticipatory guidance and picky eater case of children on age 3-6 years in Playgroup - Kindergarten in Maron Mulyorejo Village Malang Regency. The Design that was used on this research was correlation by cross sectional approach. The subject amounted 40 people by using Total Sampling Method. Data was collected by anticipatory guidance questionnaire and Childrens Eating Behavior Questionnaire (CEBQ). The research result was found that almost a half of respondents (45 percents) applied anticipatory guidance on less category and almost all of respondents (77,5 percents) had picky eater case. From research analysis used Spearman Rank Test got p-value < α (0,000 < 0,05) and r value 0,778 that mean it had connection between mother's anticipatory guidance and picky eater case of children on age 3-6 years in Playgroup - Kindergarten in Maron Mulyorejo Village Malang Regency. This research showed that mother's anticipatory guidance which was applied on less category could increase picky eater case of children on age 3-6 years. The suggestion to respondents were to be more active in searching information about food variations that are suitable for the age of the child on internet, book, and electronic media and following Illumination event about anticipatory guidance and picky eater which was held by village official, instructor and also health expert.
